There is something people want more than money. Can you guess what that is?

If you said peace of mind, you’d be right.

Peace of mind is often searched for but seldom found. Wouldn’t it be amazing to be someone who moves through life unphased by its troubles?

As a child, I remember watching Mr. Rogers on television. He always spoke in a calm manner and treated his neighbors with kindness. I was glad to be one of them — even if it was through a television screen. We think people like him are naturally stoic figures. It’s not that they don’t experience the same emotions we do, but that they have developed techniques and methods to control their emotions.

In my life, I remember being a worry-free child. In my later adulthood, I started developing unfamiliar habits I hadn’t recognized. Something was disturbing my peace. After finding out what it was, I began to address them by accepting a few lessons of life.

Below are the lessons that helped me find that peace.
